Here comes a preview of the forthcoming release on Defragmented, a label related to United Forces of Dub. This tune was created some time ago, but now the right time has come to spread it about. It`s about exclusive collaboration with Ghetto Priest & Rebel MC aka Congo Natty. Dub mix by Adrian Sherwood included. Recorded & mixed at Mustakillah Studio Prague & On-U Sound Studio, UK. Release party vol. 6


Friday 14th of December is the date and Cross club is the place. We are summoning all reggae and dub heads for we are coming with yet another hot stuff. As was announced earlier we have worked with the RiddimShot band and now is the time for the revelation. There are three tracks based on the musical background of the a forenamed band. The riddim carries itself in a best roots reggae tradition with Mustakillah Studio's sound imprint. Again there are artists from different corners of the world featured behind mic. Jamaica, United Kingdom and Kenya are represented by Sandeeno, Dark Angel and Fireson.

Release party will take place in Cross club as usual featuring vocalists Sandeeno and Fireson live with RiddimShot band and they will accompany United Forces of Dub during their sound system set. Warm up will be provided by duo Petr Mikovec and Jakub Johanek and finished by local Fyah Sound. Basement stage will feature Roots'n'Future DJs. >>Full text

Digital downloads, OBF and so ...

Although it seems quiet there's lot of things going on. Respected european reggae magazine Riddim published a review of Amiga Riddim EP and they are going to review the latest Dub Attitude EP. We're working on a new riddim from the Czech band Riddimshot with Fireson on the vocals and also preparing next 10" with material from Mungo's Hifi. Also we finished uploading all our back catalog to the Internet and all our releases are now available as digital downloads.For starters it is available through junodownload.com or if you prefrer through bandcamp.com. What we're looking forward and you can too is Mighty Sounds 2012 where've invited top a top soundsystem OBF! Enjoy the music and watch out for more news soon.

the Reggae Movement Exhibition

Roots&Future Sound System presents vernissage of inernational exhibiton The Reggae Movement Sound System: From Jamaica to Europe 1950-1995. On Friday 11th May 2012, Galerie Náplavka starting at 17:00. Supporting programme, lectures and talks, cinema and discussion begininng at 20:00. Talks and lectures are going to be about the history and evolution of the sound system phenomena, djs & mcs, dubplate culture, musical development and influence of “Bass Culture” from Jamica to Europe since 1950s until the present day. Solar power soundsystems, african music scene and social programmes. Lecturers are Ronan Lynch (Irieland Music, One Drop IR/D), musician, journalist a editor in chief of IrieUp magazine, producer and dj Damalistik (Roots Survival /FR) and others.

Follow-on thematic afterparty in the „37th Chamber“ is also a warm-up for the Sound system only Survival Meeting held on 1st-3rd June by the dam Orlík. Music will be provided by Jah Seal (Irieland Music IR/D), Roots Survival (FR), United Forces of Dub and Roots&Future DJs. Veggie cousine and outdoor bar by Hustánek from the HUS23 crew.
